One of the most beautiful fishing villages of the North Sea coast region of Ostfriesland, with a picturesque harbor and shrimp cutters, giving you a vivid idea of a fisher’s life.
Some of the attractive highlights: A large, sandy beach, the 30 ºC seawater indoor-pool, the Leuchttürmchen (little lighthouse) club for children, the historical Sielhof (farmhouse near a watergate) or thousands of events every year. It is a truly worthwhile visit.
A special event is a cutter trip to the beautiful island of Spiekeroog, with net fishing and seal observation activities. A five hours stay on the island with an exciting nature-study guided tour and beach games. In case the cutter trip can not take place, you'll receive a compensation wellness session in the health resort building.
