Dat Dykhus Museum of local history at Borkum

In the museum of local history with its „whale jaw-bone entrance“ they present 300 years of maritime history of Borkum in a loving manner, where one of the main subjects is the whale catch of Borkum. Since August of 1999, you can see the 15 meters long skeleton of a sperm whale with a weight of 35 tons in the new built whale hall.
